CNBlue’s back with their pop-rocky goodness for their new single “Love”

If you like the upbeat sounds of Jason Mraz, then you’ll totally be into this Korean quartet. Despite the accusations of plagiarism that plagued them earlier in their career, CNBlue (씨엔블루) is becoming quite the model of success for pop-rock boy bands that actually play their own instruments.

This single, “Love” (러브), is off their second mini-album, “Bluelove”. I’m certain there’ll be much more to come from these boys in the future.

Arashi’s song “Monster” has debuted @ No. 1 on the Oricon Charts

The popular Japanese boy band Arashi (岚, Storm) just debuted at number one on the Oricon charts on May 24th with their single “Monster”. The song is the theme song of the comedy drama that Satoshi Ohno (大野 智) is in, Kaibutsu-kun (怪物くん, Little Monster) .

The PV is super-fun! The dance is amusing, but I’m not quite understanding the belly dance skirt, haha.

Aitakute Aitakute by Kana Nishino is pretty awesome

I’m taking a Japanese class, and, as a result, I’m starting to explore Jpop. Kana Nishino is at the top of the charts right now with her ballad, Aitakute Aitakute (会いたくて 会いたくて ~ I miss you, I miss you).

“Aitakute Aitakute” is being used for advertising by the jewellery company GemCerey. Kana Nishino has also designed some jewelry and cell phone straps for the company ^^

SNSD and 2PM have teamed up to create the Kpop version of Bay Watch: “Cabi Song”

Some questions are natural to the human experience and have plagued philosophers for centuries: “Why are we here?”, “What’s our purpose?”, “How far can we develop technology before robots and computers take over?”, “How much hotness can you put in one music video/CF before the universe explodes?” If nothing else, 2PM and SNSD have answered the last of these classic philosophical puzzles in their CF/MV for Caribbean Bay. I do believe that this is the absolute limit.

4Minute is back with BEAST~ “Huh (Hit Your Heart!)” ~ I’m happy! ^^

I know some people aren’t huge fans of 4Minute, but they’re one of my favorite girl groups, so I’m super-excited for their comeback ^^

I guess their concept for this video is “sexy greasemonkeys”. If I was half as hot as a greasemonkey, I’d be quite content. Add to their hotness the fact that Beast is on this track and in the mv as well and you’ve got a winning mv.

BY2 falls for the pool boy in their mv for Ai Shang Ni (fall in love)

I don’t quite understand why the pool boy doesn’t know how to dive off the platform, he only jumps… it kind of makes him less manly. I also don’t quite understand the rationale behind jumping off a platform if you know you can’t swim. Personally, in my life, when I jump into the deep end of a pool, I like knowing that I’ve learned how to swim since you never know whether the pool boy is going to save you or not. This girl got lucky.

Given my lack of a propensity for jumping in pools and having cute pool boys show up to make out with me under water, I’m not gonna try it…

Eddie Peng’s “Corner Of Summer” is a pretty ballad

I’m not the biggest fan of ballads. Every once in a blue moon there’s a ballad that I really enjoy. However, I am a big fan of Eddie Peng, so I had to make a post about “Corner of Summer”! He is such a 帅哥! The video is pretty generic, but it’s all good.
