U-Kiss: Kpop’s homage to Stargate?

Although the full mv for their new single “빙글 빙글” (Bingeul Bingeul) isn’t yet out, I’m jumping the gun a little bit on this one because the mv teaser is so full of fodder for discussion! I just love the fact that Korea treats music videos as though they’re feature films and everyone gets so hyped up over the teasers. Ridiculousness. Wonderful ridiculousness.

At any rate, remember Stargate and how there was that alien ring shaped gate technology that transported people through wormholes or something? Well, apparently in Korean!Stargate, the gate transports you to the magical world of U-Kiss, which is filled with eyeliner, tattoos and finely sculpted torsos. The message of this teaser is clearly that long ago, aliens visited earth and created U-Kiss, but now U-Kiss is trapped at the other end of the wormhole! It is the duty of fangirls everywhere to find the connecting stargate!
