The world’s greatest problem? Not enough tik tok songs.

This past summer when Ke$ha released her song Tik Tok, I innitially thought it cute and fun, just really reflective of my life since I always wake up feeling like P.Diddy. That is, if P.Diddy wakes up, groans, hits snooze, hits snooze again, pronounces “ow. sunlight. pain. ow. world. bad. sleep. good. sleep.”, and then turns his alarm off and falls back asleep.

However, as the song played on the radio for months and months on end, I decided that it was actually über-annoying (yes, the umlaut was necessary there). Basically, I enjoyed the song two times and I’ve been harrassed by her whining ever since.

Tik Tok pleasure = 2/10 (It got the 1 point because I appreciate P. Diddy references and another because it’s the first Tik Tok song I ever heard)

Something in me wasn’t satisfied…

A part of me kept thinking, I gotta have more cowbell tik tok songs!

Thank you, Asian pop scene! Bring on the gold-plated diapers!

On the kpop front, 2pm came out with a really creatively named Tik Tok song, called… “Tik Tok”…, and I’m actually still listening to it on my ipod these days.

My only beef: Where’s the music video? This Tik Tok experience is sorely lacking! All I can link to is the mp3:

For a while I was happy to listen to 2pm, but I still felt that something was missing in my life…

Something like…(drum roll please)… another Tik Tok song! My need for more Tik Tok songs is, indeed, seemingly insatiable, so thank goodness Rainie Yang put out a Mandarin pop song,  ”Tick Tock”!

I think Rainie is adorably cute, but, there are two horrendously huge problems with this song and video.

Problem #1: The name of the song is clearly spelled wrong. What are the “c”s doing there?

Problem #2: Cotton candy hair doesn’t look good on anyone. Even Rainie…

She’s great looking in the rest of the video, though!
