2NE1 taunts “try to copy me”; Big Bang reminds them nothing is original in kpop

2NE1 has released a new comeback song “Try to Copy Me”, which will reportedly be featured in a Samsung CF. Apparently they’re sick of lollipops and want to try something new. It’s a decent song. I’ve played it a couple of times and still don’t like it, but that doesn’t mean I won’t ever like it… I just miss the good old days when the girls were in the Lollipop CFs and sung “Fire”. Oh man, “Fire” was the perfect song to down a bottle of chamisul to and then go at it in the noreibang…

Speaking of the Lollipop CFs, Big Bang is on board for LG’s Lollipop 2 advertising blitz, and judging by the photos released so far, seems to be doing the same sort of cutesy look that 2NE1 is working for Samsung.

Which came first? Who’s copying who? Is this merely another version of the age old “chicken vs. egg”? What’s the meaning of life? What’s G-Dragon’s phone number?
